SciCheck Created by FactCheck.org, SciCheck focuses on debunking false and misleading scientific claims.
PolitiFact Winner of the Pulitzer Prize, PolitiFact rates the accuracy of claims made by politicians and others who speak about American politics.

If you can't find the information or find it is not trustworthy, start over with different keywords to find a different source
Once you find the original, is it a reputable source What are other people saying about the author or publication?
This is one of my favorite ways, try to find the original source of information, follow the referred source, and keep going until you find the original.
