The 5 Human senses
Smell (olfaction)
The sense of smell is closely linked to memory and emotion.
Olfactory receptors are located in the nose and can distinguish thousands of different smells.
Smell allows us to perceive different scents and odors.
Taste (gustation)
.
There are five basic taste sensations: sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and umami.
Taste receptors are located on the tongue and in the mouth.
Taste allows us to perceive different flavors.
Touch (somatosensation)
Touch plays a crucial role in our sense of spatial awareness and our ability to interact with the world around us.
Sensory receptors for touch are located throughout the body, including in the skin and internal organs.
Touch allows us to feel pressure, temperature, pain, and other physical sensations.
Sight (vision)
Specialized cells called cones allow us to distinguish between different colors.
The eye and brain work together for vision.
Sight lets us see the world through light and color.
Hearing (audition)
Añada su texto

The ear has three parts and is responsible for hearing.
Hearing lets us perceive sound.
