Cons

It is easier to be racist or judgmental online than IRL because all it takes is a click of a button to hurt someone. ~SADIE
What you post on social media sites stays there forever; even if you delete it, it is still view-able. If you regret fighting for certain things from time to time then social network activism is not for you. -Justin
Anyone can see your posts, and this can be open to people who don't like your arguments as much... -Ellia
It is sometimes easier to receive threats online than it is in real life; people in the real world can't usually get away with threatening. -Justin

Pros

What's great about "the new face of activism"is that you don't need to be big or famous to get noticed. -Justin

Online activism is a good way to start standing up for what you believe in. It is also seen all over the world. ~ Sadie

What does the author mean by digital activism? How does this form of activism differ from activism in the traditional sense?

It is different than traditional activism because it is a faceless version of activism. Anybody can be an online activist it does not have to just be a professional activist. ~SADIE
-The author sometimes disagrees with big critics, as they call online activism "slacktivism" and then the author usually counters their arguments. -Justin
Online activism is different than traditional activism in many ways. One way is that it allows activists to do activism without anyone knowing who they really are. -Ellia
-Online activism is displayed by the author as a tool to fight for rights that anyone can use. -Justin
