Mass surfaces above the Earth are heated, causing them to rise

Oceans are heated by the sunlight

Troposphere contains almost all of water vapour and dust particles

Responsible for our weather

Evaporation occurs

Extreme rain/precipitation can cause damage to rocks

Lithosphere

Thermal energy from lithosphere causes plate tectonics to shift and move

Heats Earth surface including minerals, and rocks

Surface reflects heat

Some darker surfaces of the planet absorb the heat making the Earth warmer

Becomes a major source of fuels people use everyday

Biosphere

Plants combine carbon dioxide and water

Makes high-energy carbohydrates from the sun

Cellular respiration can take place as well
