A big factor in the golf stream bringing head to Europe is that warm water always moves up witch is exacly whats happening with the gokf stream. Warm water from the golf of mexio moves up to Barcelona

Lets use a pot of boiling water on the stove as an example for convection. The heat is coming from the fire on the stove, yet the water in the pot is effected. Convection is the transfer of heat energy through the movement of a fluid, just like the term " Rowling boil". Its called Rowling boil because of the motion the water is going in. The water at the bottom closest to the heat source heats up the fastest and is now hotter then the water on top. Just like with air, hot water rises pushing cold water down to repeat the cycle.

The water at the bottom of the pot heat up because water is an amazing conductor that can pull the energy/ heat out of the source

eventually all the water in the pot will be hot through the power of convection

Convection currents are the same thing on a larger scale

Humidity

Humidity in the 6 is very different from Barcelona. Its completely possible for Toronto to hit 90-100% any month of the year. Humidity from month to month is a strong correlation.
