Science Gears and Pulley Project!

The gears and pulley project we will be making is a moveable elevator. Our task will be how to build a machine using lego.

problems we ran into when we were building

The first problem we ran into is the back wall, the back wall was not smooth but the problem was fixed with a couple pieces. Another problem we had was how the pulley was going to move the elevator up and down.

types of pulleys in the elevator

We only used a simple fixed pulley with yarn for the moveable elevator to be able to move up and down.

The wheel allow the elevator to move so we called our elevator a moving elevator.

how it is supported

The walls support the elevator. There are also support beams on the side and on the bottom of the elevator as they support the wheels to hold the elevator.

The elevator works by using pulleys to possibly be able to lift some mass up. (Which is the elevator.)
