Alan Turing - Turing Machine - 1936

The Turing machine was invented in 1936 by Alan Turing, who called it an a-machine (automatic machine).

A Turing machine is a mathematical model of computation that defines an abstract machine, which manipulates symbols on a strip of tape according to a table of rules.

Robert Noyce, who worked at Fairchild Semiconductor recognized the limitations of germanium and creating his own chip fashioned from silicon.

Myspace had a significant influence on today's pop culture. But other than that it changed how we communicate. Myspace was the first social networking site.
