2. Try to type your essay in your word
processor from the beginning.

3. Start anywhere.

4. Do not be afraid of making mistakes.

5. Use an outline.

6. Be open to discover and explore while you write.

7. Focus on the big things: the thesis, the organization, and the support and development of ideas.

"It is the process of making changes throughout the writing of a draft, changes that work to make the draft congruent with a writer's changing intentions."
