How Does the Environment Affect Settlements?

poverty or war

you don't want to move to a place where there is a lot of war or poverty or you might be put into poverty or sucked into a war you want to be safe and happy where you are

wether

storms and snow and rain are all examples of weather they are not climate but they can have a big effect on where people live. weather can be really destructive.

you don't want to live in a place where there is a lot of deadley illnesses that spead quikley

natural desesters

tsunamies, tornados, hurricanes, earth quakes, forest fires, they all cause a lot of damage and kill so many people, so people don't want to live where they are in constate threat of natural desasters.

I think all of these things were important when the ancestors of this world built stuff where they did because back then the environment affected them a lot more than it affects us now. but I think now one of the biggest ways the environment affects us now is the natural disasters that happen all over the world because those cause a lot of problems.

what the normal weather cycle is like, a lot of people like warm weather so they live in warm climate areas.
