people with the fixed mindset do not enjoy learning
They feel stupid when they fail at leaning
After they fail at learning they give up and quit
How does growth mindset affect learning
people with the growth mindset will keep trying till they learn something
People with the growth mindset will use failure as a learning experience
The GM failure is not affecting self esteem
People with the GM are not concerned about challenges
People with the GM enjoy the challenges and venture outside their comfort zone
They will risk failure in order to self cultivate
The FM failure threatens and effects self esteem in a negative way
The FM makes you more concerned about challenges and failures
People with the FM don't like challenges they want to stay in their comfort zone
They do not want to try new thing for the risk of failure
MAIN POINT-The Idea that abilities are not fixed and that they can always be cultivated
People with the GM believe that their abilities can change
They believe that they can self cultivate these abilities
They can grow their abilities in a way that plants can grow
People with the GM learn in an easier way through failure and effort
They are willing to try a tougher challenge and learn from their failure
They will put in max effort even if they are unsure about success
MAIN POINT-The belief that your abilities are fixed and can not be changed
People with the FM believe their abilities are carved in stone
People with the FM believe that abilities that can not be changed are typically due to genetics
We are born with certain abilities and skills
People with the fixed mindset don't believe in self-cultivation. \
Because they believe their abilites are genetically determine, they don't believe that they can develop their abilities.
These abilities are permanent and will never change
In this way,l people with the FM view their abilites as immutable inalterable.
From this viewpoint, one either has an aiblity or one does not. It doesn't develop over time.
