The treatment of Jews varied significantly across different regions and eras. In ancient Greece, Jews were generally left in peace and were even permitted to govern themselves. The Greeks showed some interest in the Jewish religion but largely allowed them to exist without interference.

Greece

Greeks were somewhat interested in the Jewish religion
They were even allowed to rule their own government.
For the most part the Grecians left the Jews alone

Spain(Middle Ages)

Toledo III forbade Jews from holding office and from marrying Christians.
The Visigoth Kingdom had religious hatred of Jews and inflicted violence on them (409)
Spain was forced to become Catholic or they would be expelled by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella in 1492
