Farms turn into skyscrapers
built beside water sources
less money is wasted water doesnt have to go a long way
made out of glass or clear material that the sun light will get in
acts like greenhouse
each level has different crops based on different needs.
Greenhouses

dairy
potato
fish
cattle
Beans
canola
Flax seed
Honey
this suggests that we should grow grains and make dairy
Less waste and for good cause
"Sustainable Agriculture." Wikipedia. Wikimedia Foundation, n.d. Web. 14 Jan. 2016.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sustainable_agriculture
clean water
Soil
nutrients
Air
clean/filtered
sun
plant is able to photosynthesis
No harmful chemicals
gone through safety inspections
Use residents to work the community
Jobs: farming
renewable energy
wind
solar
geothermal
hydro
Have clean water
cleaned by UV light and maybe chemicals and other filters
doesnt cause dieseases
not privatized
government controls water there, we will know what we are feeding our community
have to have an effective underground water system
near body of water
grow livestock
doesn't use steroids or hormones
Grow food
without pesticides and other harmful chemicals
citizens like the governor
able to lead the country
knows what its citizens want
young, old, woman, male
Oceans goods: pearls shellfish octopus lost treasure oyster
Article 7 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights "All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law."
"Promoting Sustainable Building Practices." The Archetype Sustainable House. City of Tornoto, 2009. Web. 14 Jan. 2016.

This is a sustainable house built in Toronto. It is
recognized to manage its resources well (by using recycled materials), indoor air quality by insulating the whole house, save water and its energy efficient.
less exposure to mold, mildew and other indoor toxins
reduce green house gases
lower energy and water bills
healthier and more comfortable for household
creates less waste
uses less energy, water and natural resources
design and construction of high-performance green homes
used solar panels on its roof to collect energy
heating and cooling
a unit is installed which combines the heat pump and generator into a simple bundle.
controls air-conditioning, space heating, electrical power generation & hot water
zoned air conditioning
basement has the resistance against heat flow.
this home exceeds normal building standards by 30%
insulation
widows and doors are well insulated
use compact florescence bulbs
use less power and have a longer rated life
filters the water before it comes into the house
have a waste water treatment system that treats all the sewage water
Permeable pavement will allow more water absorption into the ground
could be used in driveways and paved areas
drought tolerant native plants and species
Advanced plumbing with timed control for hot water
Low flow toilets
Zoned air condition
Insulation
Structural Insulated Panel System
SIP is used in chimneys to prevent losing 10-15% of heat
Insulated chimneys
remove wood gases to prevent creosol
Seals window and door by using spray insulation
Subtopic
use cork flooring and bamboo flooring
bamboo is hard and strong material
little pesticides or fertilizer are used
bamboo regenerates without replanting
cork can be made from the bark of the tree without cutting it
mainly use recycled material to build the house frame
http://www.sustainableshipping.com/
doesn't cost much
money goes to the drivers and operaters
use non-fossil fuels
bio fuel
less waste
geo thermal
Wind energy
Solar energy
Use little fuel
use solar panels on roads

able to create jobs which could also sustain
mainly use recycle products
pressure sensitive
detects if branch or boulder fall on the road or an animal that's crossing
can warn drivers with LED lights on the road to tell the driver
smart hexagon solar panel cells
can use in sports recreational parks
change the layout into a basketball court with ease
can be programmed to create lanes and signs
improved visibilty
at night
for pilots
instead of using paint
lowers the cost of energy
clean energy which could power our cars
transfer energy into homes
replaces telephone polls and wires
could be damage unlike the solar roads
use its energy to warm itself to melt ice and snow
less money used on salt and snow removal
use energy harvested to light the panels up instead of using things to mark the road
harvest energy on roads
Converting abandoned/rundown spaces and buildings into parkland or green space is sustainable because less "new" construction needs to happen. HiLine Park in New York City is a park constructed on an old railway track right along tenth avenue in the middle of one of the busiest stretches of Manhattan. It is an example of how old structures like railways, bridges, factories, warehouses, etc. are transformed into parks and open spaces for the public to use. It "lowers the blood pressure" as designer Ric Scofidio mentions in this video.

take note of how many people are living in the community ever so often
survey the census
no golf courses
wastes lots of water
Loads of shopping malls and industrail factories
able to relax
purifies air
lowers blood pressure
