Individualism vs. Collectivism (IDV) -> 48

- Individualism means that, people only help their immediate family.
- Collectivist means that people help anyone that they can who can also help them. They can help their family, neighbour, friends, work group, etc.
-The Indian culture is slightly on the collectivist side.
- I agree with this because from a personal experience, in my parents neighbourhood we would always ask for each others help, if we ever need a ride or groceries, etc.
- Also, there are some people who only look out for their own family and don't really help others, for example, friends, neighbours, etc.

Masculinity vs. Femininity (MAS) -> 56

- Masculinity means that society is driven by success, achievement, competition, etc.
- Femininity means that society values the quality of life and caring for others.
- India is more on the masculine side. Everyone works extremely hard as they want to be the best and sometimes they can undermine others just to help themselves.
- From a personal experience, when I was younger my family and I would go on walks and surrounding us are all these people continuously working, striving, etc. Wanting to make something out of themselves.
