Ensuring Food Security

Social

education

if we educate farmers and small farm families and small farms
that are in the periphery and semi-periphery countries proper farming techniques and the right methods to maintain good soil quality they will be able to have a higher crop output and more success with farming and this can be the beginning ensuring food security

awareness

we live in a time where you can instantly message someone on the other side of the world. We can use this to our advantage by using it in order to spread awareness to the issues such and farmers struggling and gain support from people around the world.

Political

support

one way we can possibly ensure and have better food
security is buy giving countries the political support that
they need in order to ensure food security

stability

if there is a unstable political climate in areas like
periphery countries it can make farming difficult and
make it difficult for farmers to make money and feed their
families. Most famine food insecurity occurs in the southern hemisphere in places such as Africa

development

poor political development could also be a factor that
can affect food security. In places where there is poor political
development food security can be hard to achieve when there is no government for help or support or there is a complete lack of knowledge about food security.

policies

Political polices can have a big effect on how many
people will receive food and be able to make money from
farming and foreign polices and local polices can make it
difficult for places to import and or export food to where its
needed.

Environmental

awareness

Environmental awareness is important when it comes to
food security because of there is a lack of awareness to the
environment that you are using to farm and live off of knowing
how to use the land properly is important and lack of knowledge can lead to bad soil quality where farming can be very difficult if not impossible resulting in a lack of food security

loss of pollinators

if there is a loss of pollinators such as butterflies
bees etc. this can be very bad for farms and food security
because bees and pollinators are a vital source to farms and farming and losing this can wreck a farm and area of forest land etc.

natural disaster

natural disaster can be a big factor that can
affect food security by destroying areas of farmland
or shops malls and markets that sell food products that
could cause a short time off food insecurity or depending
on where in the world this occurs it could be a very long
period of time where there is no food security

change

climate change can largely effect food security
in many places around the word. when there is global warming
change from normal weather patterns etc. when this happens this can effect farms from growing food properly especially in places where farmers rely on rainwater for irrigation for their farms

Economic

cost

the basic cost of food is a very big reason
why many people dont have access to food on a
everyday basis and is a reason why many people in
poor countries have food insecurity is because they can
simply not afford it.

job availability

the availability of jobs in farming and in many places
around the world can be the reason why people cannot afford food or there isint food because if the fact that there is no food being produced for people to buy and consume. causing food insecurity

support

economic support could possibly help with
food insecurity in poor countries buy allowing
farmers to get on to their feet and begin an operation
and get more food to people and feed the farmers and families in the area
