English demonstratives are words that determine the distance or location of an object within a sentence.

A demonstrative adjective used before a singular noun to talk about something that is close to the speaker.

In Spanish they are: esto, este, esta.

It is a demonstrative adjective used before a plural noun to talk about things that are close to the speaker.

In Spanish they are: estos, estas.
