Editting
Video editing is a jobs where you manipulate and rearrange video shots to create a new work or project.
What is editing? Rearranging, adding or removing parts of the video, adding audio clips, applying color correction and filters, and creating transitions.
In the mid 1980s and into the 1990s, advances in technology brought digital audio and video.
Production Stages
Pre-production
Plan: You start to brainstorm ideas and decide what and how you are going to do the movie or project.
Script: If it is a story, you write the story and what the characters are going to say.
Storyboard: You draw the picture and put what you are going to do in each scene.
Production
You do the actual shooting and recording
Post-production
Everything between production and creating the final project or movie.
Sound Waves
"Sound waves exist as variations of pressure in a medium such as air." They are made by and object vibrating, which then causes the air surrounding it to also vibrate. The vibrating air then causes the human eardrum to vibrate, which then the brain interprets as sound.
All audio work is about manipulating sound waves. The final result of your work is about the series of high and low pressure zones. That's why it is important to understand how the sound waves work, they are the what you most need for your project.
