Main idea: Being underestimated and proving people wrong.
Topic: Not giving up and letting people bring you down and proving them wrong.
Theme Statement: Even when people try to bring you down, ignore them and show that their words aren't true and can't hurt you. For example, if somebody said you suck at a sport you play and you know you're pretty good, ignore them and prove them wrong. With practice needed or not.
Plot
Exposition: A Hockey team is losing a game at a tournament
Inciting Force / Conflict: Coach blames Boy (main character) and continues to insult how he plays. She tells him to not touch the puck for the rest of the game and to stay on defense.
Rising Action: The team starts catching up. Both teams are tied but there's only 37 seconds left.
Climax: The puck gets passed to him by his best friend. The coach starts telling him to pass it back to somebody else and continues to yell at him. Boy decides he wants to prove the coach wrong and so he starts skating very fast and dodges the other teams defense so he can score the final goal. He looks at the clock and there's only 3.6 seconds left so he realizes he has to shoot the puck even if he's not close enough for a guaranteed goal.
Falling Action: The puck ends up hitting the inside of the post and bounces into the net. Their team wins and everybody is cheering for Boy.
