Healthy sexuality and substance use and abuse are connected because when you inhale substances that take over your mind, you can do some things that you could regret. With you brain not functioning properly, you can get in bed with someone, have sex and not be conscious throughout it . This could lead to STIS and unprotected sex could lead to pregnancy with someone you might not even know.
Substance use and fitness theory have a connection between them because if you start taking drugs, you wont have the energy inside of you to work out. Doing drugs creates many diseases which will prevent you from being physically active. Drugs can lead to cardiovascular damage and can cause abnormal hear rate and even a heart attack. Drugs which are taken by athletes make their heart beat
Conflict Management and Substance use and abuse connect together because when you have had too much drugs or alcohol consumed into your body, you don't have control of your brain or actions, and you don't think about the consequences. If you have something on your mind, you will do it, which can lead to conflicts. It can lead to people getting hurt, and things that shouldn't be said, said. Since your not thinking properly, you regret things later on.l Another connection is if you were in a bad conflict, and you want to forget about the night, you contaminate your body with alcohol and drug to relive the pain that you are in.
Substance use and abuse connects with Nutrition and Body Image because if you start taking drugs that going to affect the way you eat. Taking drugs is going to have a negative effect on you body and health and you can start to have many diseases. Taking drugs messes with you digestive system and when you become addicted you wouldn't want to eat anything else other than take drugs. Drugs will mess your up with your body image too by making you lose a lot of weight and you will start to look older by gaining wrinkles. Since you are not getting the proper nutrients and food, you will start to loose energy since you will stop eating what you should be.
If your not eating as should be and not including all 4 components of the Canadas Food Guide, it can effect your Fitness Theory and your personal fitness because you won't be able to work out properly and you will start to get tired and you won't have the energy either. Diseases will also start to build up which will affect your personal fitness. If you don't consume enough calories you won't have energy to work out.

A personal connection for Conflict Management
is once i was apart of a inter-group conflict
and as we were talking about this unit I slowly
started to realize that i was a fox and owl when it
comes to figuring out a solution. In the conflict
I confronted to both groups openly and fairly and
i compromised a bit. I realized that i care about others and I care about my relationships too.

Personal Connection:
In the fitness theory a personal connection that
I could make is that every time we did work out Wednesday or i ran a lot in gym i could feel my heart rate going up and I knew that, that meant i was trying my hardest and i wasn't being lazy or anything. Every time I did Work out Wednesday I realized that i was getting better every week we would run or do the drills. I make sure that i was doing everything in the F.I.T.T categories.

Personal Connection:
Throughout the Healthy Sexuality I learned the risks of catching STI's and how risky it can be and it is just better of staying away from sex. I learned the dangerous effects it has on your body and how it can damage your body if you don't have them checked. My group and I researched about Genital Herpes and we found out about the causes and import information that we needed to know

Personal Connection:
Throughout this unit i learned many different things. A personal connection is that once someone i know started to do drugs and things didn't end so good for him. We noticed the symptoms and health effects very quickly since they were evident. He was always so tired, he was lazy, he didn't eat anything, and he didn't care about what he said or did. It was really hard to make him not do drugs and it was a struggle. We soon figured out that the reason he was doing all this was because he felt really tired, stressed and he had a lot of tension on him and he thought with doing drugs he could relax and give himself time. He also said he tried once or twice before and he got addicted very fast because of his friends. I learned by that, that peer pressure is a major effect of why people do drugs.
