Minutes 1-8 (Chapter 1)

The U.K was part of Europe

After the Ice Age it became an Island

The first inhabitants came with the Bronze Age.

They used old Bronze techniques

Started making exchanges with the Phoenicians

This brought Tin and Copper which was used to make Bronze

This land wouldn't be much known until the Roman Era

Minutes 8-16

The Celts (means brave) start moving around Europe and finally get to England

There's a mix of roman, germanic and scotish people; irish people don't get mixed because they were far from the others

Elfs, Pixies and Pocks start inhabiting english woods and become an essential part of he development of their history.

Lost Island on the Atlantic that disappears. It's paradise. Beautiful people where there and knights and ladies went there to seek rest

Only white magic on this island. the day of the death of King Arthur the Island sinked into the water. it is told fishermen can still see its lights

Minutes 16-24

The Celts arrive in the year 1500 b.c with many different tribes that end up in Ireland and Scottland

They develop their own culture until Romans invade them

Oral tradition is very important. Land is formed by gnomes and elves

Many popular stories come from this tradition

The Celts had a Village called Bretons, form where comes te term Britain

Their culture starts getting mixed up and ends up being something more christian. Their culture spread along Europe

Avalon was an absolut paradise. There is The Lady of The Lake

You can't be happy in the forest because there's many treasures that get stolen from you if you try to take them. Mix between heaven and hell

Good people were sent to an endless party

The Celtic people also have a developed religion with many different gods.

They feared that the sky would fall upon them, which is what happens when Romans get there. Their cultura was based on mythology, and when fairies get there (with Romans) they start fighting with the creatures that were already there. They are the origion of stories like Sleeping Beauty

They have glamour which allows them to walk around mortals without being seen, and creates attraction when they want to. They can manipulate men based on desire and obedience

With them also come the leprechauns, who were their shoemakers

Minutes 40-48

José de Arimetea goes to England with the Holy Grial and christianizes the British islands.

The Celts become christians to go against Romans

Saint Patrick also helps christianize England. Perfect syncretism with the magic world of the Celts

Romans stay for 400 years because Celts had looted Rome so they wanted vengeance

they install the Wall of Adrian which creates a conflict between separated people

South celts defeat northern celts and establish on the Islands

The Germanics stay there and it is named the land of the Anglo which becomes "Angleterre"

The English nation is born from the Anglo, the Saxon, the Celts and other people

King Arthur's Legend: British that unified the land with Excalibur. Son of Kin Uther who falls in love with igraine (Queen, already married), so he asks Merlin to transform him into her husband to have a night with her. Merlin agrees on the condition that the kids from that night would be given to him. They have Arthur and give him to Merlin. Igraine has a daughter called Morgana who later on becomes a witch

Minutes 48-End

The king would be he one who managed to get Excalibur out of the stone. Arthur manages to do this and becomes King.

He wanted to marry Guinevere but Merlin tells him she had a curse. nevertheless Arthur decides to marry her

A friend of Arthur's falls in love with her and so does she.

At a meeting with many kings from other places their love becomes a little obvious

Their affair ruins peace because of this

The only way of having peace back is to get the Holy Grial

Celts, who create the first culture of Great Britain (myths and literature) are separated by Romans when they build the Adrian Wall to separate themselves from "Barbarians"

Ireland and Wales don't suffer from this because they were far away

She talks about Saint George of England, a knight that creates the culture of chivalry. His red Cross is represented in the English and British flag. He was also an inspiration to fight the pagans, and the importance of honor is highlt due to him.

When Romans leave and the Wall is taken down the people that were separated because of it are now in conflict due to their strong differences.

Minutes 8-16

When Romans get to England they find pants funny

They then realised how practical they were in terms of weather

Emperor August starts using them

Pants get to Italy where Pantaleon starts using them and it becomes the trend

Romans leave the Celt territory (South side of the Adrian Wall)

These celts are attacked by the ones who didn't have any Roman influence

The attacked ask the Germanic people for help (Saxons and Germanics)

The Germanics help them but stay at their territory, so the celts have to find another territory

They get to Ireland and Wales. Many people start coming, including Saint Patrick, who evangelices them.

He dies on March 17th which becomes Saint Patrick's Day

They lived in peace for a long time and their legends start developing

Minutes 16-24

Golden Era for the Celts: Development of legends

Legend of Tristan and Isolde

the Germanic People impose their habits in the territory

Arrival of the Vikings thanks to their well-developed navigation system

With the Vikings arrive the Goblins, which are evil and invasive creatures. They become enemies from other creatures that live in the woods

Minutes 24-32

Danish Vikings learn to make boats with sails, which allows them to go through seas

They arrive in Ireland and stay there for some time, until they arre completely repelled in Wessex. They go South and arrive in France, Hambourg and even Spain

They territorize people and even take part in the "Siège de Paris". King Charles III signs peace with them in exchange of Normandy. Since then they are called the Normans

Ragnar Lodbrock (Danish king) is caotured and thrown into a pond filled with snakes in England. before dying he swears his sons will take revenge

Ragnar's sons decide to start a war with the Anglo-Saxon

This war continues for years until Alfred The Great (king of Wessex) decides to try and mix both cultures

At the same time he tries to fins coexistence with the Celts, so he gives them some territory from the highlands. Since then they are considered Highlanders

Minutes 32-40

King Alfred of Wessex unifies Denmark and England

Divides England in Shires and wants to make peace with Scotland

He gets lost in a swap and the legend says he's still there trying to unify both people.

His son Edward will marry a Norman princess and will destroy the peace effort.

He organizes a great dinner with Denmark nobles and kills them all

That's when William The Conqueror arrives on scene. He starts loosing this war by far

Shakespeare is inspired from this history to write many of his plays related to kings and nobles.

Minutes 40-48

At "The Battle" William The Conqueror completely defeats the Anglo people

Royalty becomes Norman since then (1066)

Normandy is still more important than England; William's son will become Duke of Normandy

England and France are crossed in history because of Norman presence

The firsts crusades start at the time of William's son

Eleanor of Acquitaine marries the king of France. They divorce and she marries Henri II

The crusades brings the knowledge of the Sufis, which leads to romance and influences the creation on Love Tribunals by Eleanor

Eleanor and Henri have three children; Richard the Lionheart goes to the crusades so John the Landless takes the throne.

A Noble Saxon allows a peasant to hunt for food in his land. This will lead to the beginning of the story of Robin Hood

Minutes 48-End

Richard The Lionheart helped the saxon after the norman inasion

Henri II names his friend Thomas Becket the new bishop because he wanted to have control over the church's power

He then gets mad because his friend doesn't cooperate with his plan, and Beckett ends up being killed because of this.

Robin Hood decides to steal from the rich to give to the poor (mostly saxons) from the Sherwood woods

Richard the Lionheart befriends Robin Hood and they start helping each other
