Colonization incresed the interactions between the Americas, Europe, and Africa.
Americas
The Native American population was conquered by disease, dividing and conquering new technologies like gun powder and guns, and due to the diseases the population plummeted.
Africa
Along with the need for trade, slaves were also
needed when England and Spain began to colonize
their new claimed land.
The slaves were needed to work and farm the land.
Along with the land they were needed to set up the
society by doing the labor that was needed to
build the colony.
Europe
Europe and Spain both wanted control of the world.
They divided the world. (It was not evenly divided.)
Countries began to send explorers to travel and explore

All of the explorers were seeking to find new lands, inventions and products that could use and/or sell.
With the discovery of new lands this allowed for new countries to be founded and colonized.
The importing of spices, silk and other products

Commercial Revolution
Capitalism - private ownership where owners risk their own money to start business. Supply/demand
Merchantilsim-colonies provided raw materials and then bought finished product. This provided more opportunities for people and broke down classes.
The effects of the Trading Outpost
and Plantation Colonies.
In our opinion this was the basis for food markets and
grocery stores. It gave us the idea to share and sell our goods with the civilization.
Trading Outpost
Trading outposts were places where people would meet to talk and exchange goods back and forth. They would exchange spices and goods, sometimes even slaves would be traded
France started the trading outposts and since everyone would meet there they decided that they wanted these trading outposts in their countries too (Europe and America). We think these trading outposts are what started the ones we still have in America and all over the today.
Plantation colonies
Plantations were early methods of colonization where settlers established permanent or semi-permanent colonial bases. These bases where frequently used to spread western culture and Christianity to the indigenous people.
The long term effects of plantation colonies led to the organizing of states and towns. Plantation colonies also could have been what started farming because the people on this land planted crops to make a living so we think farming and agriculture communities came from this concept.
Advances in Technology
Astrolabe to determine the position of heavenly bodies.
Compass to determine directions
Caravel allowed for sleeker and faster ships
The effects of Advance in Techology
The compass is a very beneficial tool in travel for land, sea and air to aid in directions. The Astrolabe helped advance the study of the universe and the caravel gave way to allowing not only our modern day cruise ships to be able to travel faster and smoother but also aids in the improvement of defense by naval ships.
