Challenges our society will face in the future

The future of our planet is at risk due to several alarming environmental issues. One of the primary concerns is the accelerated extinction of insects, which threatens the pollination of plants and the stability of global ecosystems.

Challenges our society will face in the future

Melting of the Arctic ice

Where is it going to happen? In the frozen north pole, the Arctic .
Who is going to be affected? All living creatures on earth.
Why is it going to affect? Emissions of carbon dioxide and methane to the atmosphere will increase, just as the shrinking of mountain glaciers will do. The sea levels will rise, which in turn will increase coastal erosion and natural disasters like hurricanes and typhoons.
When is it going to happen? The Arctic will be ice-free in the summer of 2040.
What is it? It is the phenomenon that occurs when massive ice layers melt because of the increase of earth's temperature.

The disappearance of insects

Where is it going to happen? It is going to happen all over the world.
Who is going to be affected? All existing ecosystems.
Why is it going to affect? A catastrophic collapse of nature’s ecosystems will take place. Many species are going to disappear. Plants for example, are not going to be able to be pollinated.
When is it going to happen? In a hundred years.
What is it? The accelerated extinction of insects in a short period of time.

More plastic than fish in the sea

Where is it going to happen? In the oceans and the seas.
Why is it going to affect? A massive extinction is going to have place. The waters will suffer a catastrophic event of pollution.
Who is going to be affected? The valuable sea life including all the creatures related to the trophic chain of the sea.
When is it going to happen? In 2050.
What is it? It is the phenomenon that will take place when the amount of plastic will be more than the amount of fish in the sea.
