-You'll be able to make connections with profs, who you could go under their wing as a TA, or even ask for a letter of recommendation - make connections in the workforce if your program has co-op, placement, or apprenticeship
- life lasting friendships - Being friends with people in your program will help academically -Try new experiences -Deals with the stress of classes, being able to relate to others and blow off some steam together -Support system

It is a unique experience that you wont be able to share with any other close friends and family

These friendships could help you later on in life, whether its with work of your personal life.
