1. DETECT THE PROBLEM

What do we need? What problem do we have or what task have we been set? What conditions are there?

2.Information and research

We collate, study and select information on the different ways that we could resolve the problem.

3.Search for possible solutions

We think of the different options and we study and assess each options to see if it is viable.

4. Choose the solution

We choose the best solution based on the criteria that we set as priorities and after analysing the advantages and disadvantages of each solution.

Points of view

Morphological analysis

We analyse the shape of the object, its size, colour and basic physical characteristics.

Functional analysis

We study how the object works, its utily, how it is used and the potential risk of its use.^

Technical analysis

We evaluate how the object was made.

Economic analysis

We analyse the financial cost of manufacturing the product and its selling price.

Social analysis

We study the object from the point of view its social impact and analyse the human needs that it meets.^

Aesthetic analysis

We evaluate how our senses react to the object, its appearence, whether it looks nice or not, whether we find it attractive, etc.

Historical analysis

We evaluate the possible reasons why the object emerged and iys historical development.

We do sketches,plans, diagrams...of our chosen solution

6. Prepare and plan the work

We choose the materials, tools and techniques that we are going to need.

7. Build the product

We build, assemble and finish the product.

D. Evaluate

9. Presentation and assesment

We present our product and have it assessed by people outside the group.

10. Write up the report

We draw up a report on the project that we carried out to put together all the information about the process we followed.

8. Chek the results

We chek the product work and that it does want we want.
