Lake Louise is considered beautiful because people like the surrounding landscape and the blue water.
A water feature, such as the ocean, a lake, or a river.
Lake Louise
Kintsukuroi is translated to"golden repair", which is essentially a metaphor for "embracing your flaws and imperfections".
A flaw that many people see is the snow. Many people might not like the place because it's cold and frigid. However, I think that the snow does give the lake its beauty. The snow covers the mountains and trees, in which shows the landscape's true beauty.
An object you use every day, such as a pen, a car, a coffee cup, or your shoes.
Pink Diamond Pen
Edumund Burke's theory on the sublime, specifically color, he states: "Colours that are “soft or cheerful” are not usually sublime. Burke prefers “sad and fuscous colours, as black, or brown, or deep purple, and the like” (69). Such colours produce a “melancholy kind of greatness” (69)."
The picture may does not show it, but in real life the pen has a lustre-like shine to it. The soft and cheerful pink color and the lustre shine really attracted me to this pen. However, there was something sublime about the black and gold pen that attracted me to it. Although it didn't have the lustre shine to it, there was something about it that I found beautiful.
Euphoria is considered beautiful based on its interpretation. Everyone percieves this movie very differently, in which gives it its beauty. When I look at beauty in a film, I look at the cinematography, the colors, the music, and its concept.
A work of theatrical art, such as a play, a film, or a TV advertisement.
According to David Humes, “Beauty is no quality in things themselves: it exists merely in the mind which contemplates them; and each mind perceives a different beauty."
David Hume: Looking at this from David Humes' perspective, the beauty of Euphoria is based off of our subjective perspective. The beauty of it exists differently because beauty is refined. For example, I like the color palette used in each scene because it conveys, the protagonists' emotions. While someone else may see it for their adoration of the colors used. The difference between our opinions, is that we understand beauty at a different level, we either think of it on a surface level or a deeper level
A person you don't know, such as an actor, a musician, or a politician.
Seal the singer
"Kant similarly concedes that taste is fundamentally subjective, that every judgment of beauty is based on a personal experience, and that such judgments vary from person to person."
Seal is recognized for his singing, but he is also known for his facial scarring. Some people think its ugly, however, I think it's beautiful. I think it sets him apart from other people, instead of hiding it, he's proud of it. Because he's gained acceptance of it, his confidence and his choice to experience life with it so confidently makes it beautiful. Personally, I hold these views because I'm very concious about my hair and the protective styles I put in it. Whenever I have a hairstyle I don't like, I see that it looks nicer on other people. I realized this is because they have the confidence to wear it, in which makes it beautiful. Some people might not see his beauty based on a personal experience, instead they see his beauty based on his physical apperance.
