Multimedia Elements: they help you enhance your work by making it more appealing and effective for the reader.
TEXT: the most fundamental element and most effective way to communicate in multimedia. You can change de size, color, font, etc. according to your objectives.
GRAPHICS: humans are visually oriented so graphics enhance their comprehension. Some examples of graphics are photographs, illustrations, drawings, clip art, icons, etc.
ANIMATION: apart from normal graphics, animations help explain concepts that involve movement. It also brings attention because of the visual interest humans posses.
AUDIO: it is very effective in catching the attention of your audience. Some examples of audio: dialogue, recorded narration, music, and sound effects.
VIDEO: videos are a very easy and effective way to spread information or a message to large amounts of people. Videos are currently very popular, so many persons will watch it.
Storyboards

There are different types of storyboards in multimedia: Editorial/Shooting, Animation, Comp/Presentation, Pre visualization.
Editorial/Shooting: camera position, angle, and movement.
Animation: camera setup, timing, and layout of the background.
Comp/Presentation: demonstrate features of products or services that will help with customer advertising.
Pre-visualization: they combine elements of shooting with animation storyboards.
Flowcharts
Used to show the different paths a user may take when they interact with a multimedia product.
Uses: plan a new project, documenting a business process, managing workflow, mapping computer algorithms, data management, etc.
Types of flowcharts: basic flow chart, swim-lane flowchart, EPC diagram, workflow diagram, process map, SDL diagram, data flow diagram, and process flow chart.
Digital Technology
A term for devices or services that make use of computers.
Examples: phones, computers, cameras, etc.
Harbor Library Books (HANDBOOK): Computer programmers use a lot of digital technology to work because computers are digital.
Analog Information
Data that is represented in a physical way.
Examples: records, magnetic tapes of VCR cassettes, or other non-digital media.

Basic Media Element
