Teamwork

Senior level football practice in high school. Show up and participate and make sure others do too. Made sure to stay focused and keep others focused as well. Our team won the championship because of our dedication.

Interpersonal Skills

I was notified by my boss, at my job, as a skating coach that a child was sitting on the ice crying. My task was to get them up and moving again. I went over to them and made a show of flopping down to the ice at their level and made the child laugh and stop crying. Then I played follow the leader to get them to stand up and then I gave them an airplane ride over to the group. As a result of my actions, that kids parent didn't complain to my boss, in fact, they commended me for what I did and I got a raise.

Integrity

I was walking around in Limeridge mall with my mom, and there was a blind man looking for the exit nearest to him. I noticed that nobody was helping him, so I decided to help him. I introduced myself to him and I offered my assistance and he accepted. I guided him to the exit when no other person would. When I got back to my mom she was in tears of pride and joy because of my actions.

Technical Skills

When my mother got her new phone, she had no idea how to use it. She asked me for help with all of the steps surrounding her phone because she doesn't know what to do with it. I had to show her how to access the apps that she wanted to use. So, I made various folders with all the apps that i recommend that she use for easy accessibility. Now she is now able to use her phone in a functional way.

Problem Solving Skills

At my job delivering furniture, there are an array of things that can go wrong. One of the biggest issues is that the furniture is unable to fit in the door of the house it is being brought to. So my partner and I try to figure out a way to solve this issue. We do this by wiggling and finagling the furniture to fit in the doorway of the house. As a result of this, we are able to finish that delivery faster and move on to the next one for the day.
