HCC PLAN

I am a Florida resident so that gives a huge discount compared to out of state students, that being 12,157 a year compared to about 18,000 for out of state students in just attending already

Another benefit to this yearly cost is the fact it shouldn't be too much living expenses due to living at home, i will pay for some bills but not too much

I do currently have a summer job, although it will end in two weeks, I have money I've been saving for a few years other than my paychecks, so when i start working again full time after i finish high school, i will try to apply to a new job and try to make extra cash here and there to not ask for my parents for too much help

So unfortunately, the graduation rate isn't the best, so that is definitely the worst part about planning on attending here, but i do have my plan on what or how to get where i want to be

The real difference however is that this was the graduation rate stated was after six years of college, I plan on just attending for an associates degree and nothing more, and I have worked on fixing my wrongs from high school with managing classes, so i have high hopes in that aspect

The graduation rate even afterwards still isn't the best, but this is a temporary plan, if i find another college that is a bit better and still close, i might change my mind but for now thats the goal

The reason i choose HCC in the first place is due to proximity, as it is a 20-30 min drive from my house. My plan was to choose some college or university that is nearby to my house mainly because I don't want to pay extra due to in school living.

It isn't that expensive when it came to a starting point, without trying to figure out the course i want to pursue, which is art. Regardless, compared to other universities and colleges i looked at, art courses were going to be too much for me to pay with some retail job pay wage

Now the other reason it interested me was because one of my sisters wanted to go there a few years back, so going there whether it be for a different course than what she wanted to study, makes me kinda proud i plan on going somewhere she wanted to go to
