In my town, every year, there is a very famous event:
The Carnival
Students 2 and 21
In February and March, for four Sunday and also Shrove Tuesday, there is a huge parade of floats along the Promenade.
Student 3 The floats are very big and full of life and colours. They are very funny and amazing!
Student 4
A lot of important Artists from Viareggio, and other countries, work hard troughout the year to create the floats.

The most important artist is Umberto Bonetti
The father of
Burlamacco

Burlamacco is the symbol of carnival.
Students 7 and 22His costume is white and red with a black mantle a big smile and a funny attitude.

The carnival is very exciting…
