Responsibilities

Collaboration and consultation: Psychiatrist collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for their patients

Medication Management: Psychiatrist prescribe and monitor medications to alleviate symptoms of mental health disorders, such as antidepressants etc.

Assessment and diagnosis: Psychiatrists assess and evaluate patients mental health status including symptoms, medical history and psychosocial factors.

Bachelors degree in fields such as psychology, biology, pre-medicine or related discipline

I have interest in this career because I feel better when I'm helping others and getting to study and understand the brain is something im interested in. This is beneficial for many people and is even better if i can be my own psychiatrist and getting at my own needs.
