Service as Diplomacy

Peace Corps and U.S Military are related: they both are the faces of U.S

PCVs are cultural ambassadors

They need to fully understand local language, communication, and culture

More effective and inexpensive than soldiers in Military

endures homesick, poverty, and hunger in geographically isolated places (or developing countries)

Soldiers get higher budget; invalidate Peace Corps volunteers' honest works

Peace Corps and Public Diplomacy

The author describes volunteers of Peace Corps as the face of U.S

Remains independent from U.S military and U.S Department of States

There should be less distance between agencies; instead, they should work together to reflect true image of America to the world

Georgia Business can Improve U.S Image Abroad

“At this point in time, business is a much more credible messenger than government,” said Mr. Miller

U.S is not a welcomed destination for travelers anymore because of visas/ new policies go against foreigners

Encouraging Americans to “live, eat and play locally,”

U.S Companies should hire foreigners to go international

Beijingers' Views of Ameica

“Why do you live in China when the United States is so rich?” said by a Chinese in the beginning of 2000s

The author thinks that China maybe became the new land of opportunity

Nowadays: Chinese pity him by telling him that America’s economy is falling down
/or even worried that U.S would not be able to give back the money China had lent

I see that the Peace Corps does not get supported by the U.S government, so it needs more financial aid. I am afraid if in the future, the numbers of volunteer would be decreased because of all the hardships they experience in developing countries. Therefore, PCV should somehow get connection with other US agencies to work things out together.

For business perspective, it seems to be a lot helpful with hiring foreigner workers. They might provide a better suggestion than American worker (not being biased or anything, just telling the fact that foreigners can have rich experience from back in their homelands.
