Unit 3: Listening to customers

Contents: Key expressions such as side effects, rash, Ache, sore throat, runny nose, To feel under the weather, Be allergic to, To have a cough, vet on call.
Objective: to get familiar with some general phrases and expressions that vets normally hear from their customers.

Unit 1: Key vocabulary I (Parts of animals´ body)

External tools: Goconqr .
Moodle tools: Forum, Questionnaire, Glossary. .
Assessment: self-evaluation questionnaire .
Activities: Introduction of words with flashcards, label activities, watching a video, completing a collaborative glossary
Contents: parts of different types of animals. Mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians.

Assessment: task (filling out a chart with the definitions of some key expressions using their own words as they figure them out throughout the unit).
Activities: quizes, matching games, listen and match .
Contents: key words and expressions such as Have a fever, Over-the-counter, Cough syrup, Make sleepy, Shots, Stitches, Syringe, X-rays
Objective: to get familiar with some general phrases and expressions that vets normally use when talking to customers.

Unit 2: Key vocabulary II (Vet instruments)

External tools: Quizlet
Moodle tools: forum, glossary, task
Assessment: task (decription of some of the learnt vets´ instruments).
Activities: flashcards, mathching games, look and write, completing a collaborative glossary
Contents: veterinary tool for different purposes; Surgical instruments, Orthopaedic, Monitoring equipment, Laboratory, Grooming, Diagnostic.
Objective: to get familiar with vocabulary of vets´ intruments
