The admission requirements for this course are a minimum 75% average, English grade is at least 60%, you must have a successful audition, your theory/ear training test is equivalent to the 'Royal Conservatory of Music Advanced Rudiments', competitive admission range in the high 80s, and you must complete an interview with a faculty member. CAREERS YOU CAN GO INTO: In taking this program you can become a musician/performer, conductor, composer, film music edition (etc). ESTIMATED TOTAL TUITION COST: The total cost of tuition can ranger anywhere from $21,095 - $28,045.

WHICH EDUCATIONAL PATHWAY DO I FOLLOW?

There are no formal education requirements in order to pursue a career as a film composer. Those aspiring to become a composer should obtain a bachelor's degree, a master's degree or a doctorate. Aspiring composers are expected to have great knowledge of musical theory/history, and should be familiar with music notation, as well as software and electronic music equipment. Employers of film composition often require a degree from certified undergraduate programs. This will include studies in musical theory/history, notation software, equipment, composition, music business and recording.
