Why does poaching occur

Some animals hunted for their skin or horns to make jewelry, medicines and other objects. Many poachers just do it for trophy hunting.

How to stop it

The thing is poaching is illegal but still happens so people need to raise awaireness so that the government can realize that it is still an issue and can try to re-enforce the law.

How does poaching occur

poaching is done through illegal organizations that want to sell parts of animals like ivory from elephants for example that are worth a lot of money to make profit.

What is Poaching

Poaching is defined as the illegal hunting and capturing of wild animals for either food and/or entrepreneurial exploitation (activities conducted in order to gain economic returns from the discovery of a potential entrepreneurial opportunity.)

THE EFFECTS OF POACHING ON

Local communities

With poaching also comes habitat loss or animals flee sometimes towards neerby communities. It has happened before in Africa specifically Zimbabwe where lions started coming near villages because they could no longer live in the nature which also puts human lives in danger.

Most wildlife populations decrease by large amounts or become extinct.
