Action & Expression

Executive Functions
Guiding students to create and maintain goals throughout the year is important as well as facilitating the information and monitoring their progress.
Expression & Communication
Using multiple ways to communicate their learning and tools for composition such as computer programs, ipads, etc. The teacher should scaffol when needed in order to provide support during challenges.
Physical Action
Giving the students the opportunity to physically move such as giving brain breaks using Go Noodle. Also, optimizing the tools technology can provide.

Representation

Comprehension
Activating and clarifying background knowledge is important as enhancing on patterns, big ideas, and relationships in the readings. Teachers should also encourage generalization.
Language & Symbols
In order for students to access information, the teacher should clarify vocabulary in every content area. They should support when needed in decoding text, or math notations and symbols.
Perception
Modifying visual and auditory instruction by providing multiple tools and strategies for students to access the information.

Engagement

Self-Regulation
Students should be able to self-regulate and self-assess when necessary, and teach them the coping skills needed to work through frustrations.
Sustaining Effort & Persistence
This part of the framework is dedicated to the creation of a collaborative community in the classroom, where the teacher can create objectives together with the students, and provide timely and structured feedback to students' work.
Recruit Interest
Recruiting student's interest should be done by providing students with multiple opportunities to choose the task, as well as offering always relevance, and authenticity to the learning to bring up the students' motivation.
