Beyond a stay of three months, all nationals of a member country of the European Union must prepare an application for a residence permit.The application for a residence permit must be filed within three months after arrival in the territory of Greece.You must apply with the police in your place of residence You will have to provide those documents :- An identity card or passport is valid.- A medical certificate.- Request a Service Form of the immigration police.

The applicant shall present the original and a photocopy of each of the supporting documents (including the passport, ) with the visa application. Photocopies cannot be made at the Consulate.

Valid travel document

It should be valid for, at least, three months after the intended date of departure from the Schengen area. Please, also, note that the passport needs to contain at least two blank pages and have been issued within the last 10 years

Two (2) photos are required

Students from EU countries and from European Economic Area/EEA (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) and Switzerland do not need a visa to enter Portugal, which is a signatory of the 1995 Schengen Agreement. These students have the right to live in the national territory for a period up to 3 months without other conditions and/or formalities beyond having a valid identity card or passport. However, if their stay is longer than 3 months, they must formalize their right of residence – apply for the residence card ! within 30 days after the three months stay in the country at the Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras (SEF) of their residence area.

Germany

Who needs to apply for a visa

EU citizens and citizens from some other countries (Honduras, Island, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland and the United States) do not need a visa to enter Germany. Everybody else must apply for a visa for study purposes via the German diplomatic representation in their home country. Students must not under any circumstances travel to Germany on a tourist visa. If students have intention to study in Germany but have Tourist Visa then Tourist visa cannot be transformed into Student or Applicant visa.
