Losing, An American Tradition
The concept of losing should not always have a negative connotation. Specifically, being labeled a loser doesn't necessarily mean one has been defeated. Losing can occur for various reasons and can be a source of motivation.

You can be called a loser for many different reasons. Being a loser does not necessarily mean getting beaten. Losing shouldn't be seen as such a bad thing. Losing Mindset based on shame. "Keeping people in their place is maintaining them at certain levels of shaming interaction at which they can be controlled." We are preprogrammed with nine potential states of emotion. Low self esteem is required for social stability. Losing overshadows winning. Being called a quitter is worse than a loser. Losing is when you quit trying.
