How to be a better citizen

Try to engage in public community activities, try to engage in voting activities, try to help out others in need within your community, help out charitable organizations. Try volunteering in beneficial programs for your community. Try not shutting other people down, taking away their voice

What does it mean to be a good citizen?

In my opinion to be a good citizen means to Participate in your community, Such as voting or fundraisers etc. I also think it means to be a polite person in your community an approachable person and a law abiding citizen to create a healthy environment.

What is a healthy enviorment

A healthy community/environment is one where people feel free to publicly voice their opinion without judgement. Have an open happy community where you can have an enjoyable social conversation with a random encounter on the street. It is also a place where everyone has equal rights to education, health care, employment and transportation.etc.

Government types

Republic
A government whose authority is based on citizen’s votes, which are represented by elected or nominated officials chosen in free elections.
Democracy
Democracy means ‘rule of the people’ The term today refers to a political system in which the people or their elected representatives govern themselves
Theocracy
A government where priests rule in the name of God or by officials who are regarded as divinely guided, or consistent with the principles of a particular religion.
Autocracy
A government controlled by absolute power, & in the hands of a single person with minimal restraints on the decision & lack of any mechanism of popular control
Anarchy
Anarchy is a state of absence of law, a state of lawlessness and disorder (usually resulting from a failure of government)
Monarchy
A government where supreme authority is vested in a single & usually hereditary figure, such as a king, & whose powers can vary from absolute to none at all
Communism
As a system of government, communism is a system of government in which the state owns and operates industry on behalf of the people
Dictatorship
A form of government where the power rests entirely on one person or a group of persons. This rule could be acquired by inheritance of force & is usually oppressive

Social Issues

Voting rights. Exercising the right to vote is one of the social justice issues prioritized by the National Association of Social
Climate justice. A lot of issue can be brought back to the climate, such as, poor and unhealthy living conditions and extreme heat and cold.
Healthcare. Healthcare in canada is good but it could always be better as hospitals are understaffed in canada since the pandemic.
Income Gap. There is no longer as big of an income gap in canada but that doesnt mean its not an issue. there is still a huge gap in many other 2nd and 3rd world countries
Hunger and food insecurity. A lot of families still suffer from insecurity of food and living.

these are some issues that are guarantied not to happen by government but are actually big problems within society
