Intentional Integration of ICT
Seesaw for School (PG-Grade 3)
Launched the Seesaw for Schools program which connects teachers students and family members in an attempt to make classroom life more transparent and communication more fluid for all stakeholders.
Parent Portal
Rolled out the Parent Portal for connecting families to school documents, student achievement data (ongoing) and links to school streaming events.
Online Learning Model
Developed the model for live online lessons after the COVID19 pandemic. Updates continue to be made as we go between on campus and online learning.
Communications Technologies
Tools like FLipGrid, Padlet, Scratch, TinkerCAD, Jamboard, G Suite and MultiBrush allow students to collaborate in creative ways online and in the classroom.

Peer Assessment
Creating a need for peer assessment ensures that collaboration will take place on assessment tasks.

Our school professional development program ensures teachers are aware of the importance of building in collaboration and equipped with tools to make it happen.
Team based planning model
Our team approach to unit planning allows us to ensure all voices are in the room when decisions are made about including opportunities for collaboration when units and assessments of learning are designed.
Nature of Inquiry
New coding curriculum
Helped develop a Gr 1-Gr 9 coding curriculum to accommodate the new Mathematics/Algebra expectations. Activities include: SCratch coding, robotics and off screen coding.
Genius Hour Planning
Helped develop the Genius hour program in which classes worked together and with experts inside and outside of the school to build passion projects over the course of the year.
UN Sustainable Development Goals
Student Challenge – Each grade will be given an environmental issue in the form of an inquiry question based on 1 of the 17 UNESCO Sustainable Development Goals.

Solutions - Teams will work together through a SOLE (Sugata Mitra) to create or innovate solutions. Solutions will be presented at the grade level and 1 team will be selected to move onto the Summit.

Worked to create a continuum of when and how these 7 standards are taught at each grade level.
Intentionality of Interaction
Peer feedback
Students conference in person or online to receive peer feedback on projects such as their logo design project. They record the feedback and use it to make design changes.
Exposure to new cultures
Our multicultural day allows us to bring in guests (parents) from different cultural backgrounds to discuss cultural dress, practices, stories and foods.
Contributing to improve our community
Impact – Campus-Wide “Uniform Exchange” with families donating old uniforms and attending the exchange if they want to pick up other uniform items. At the end of the event, we will arrange for the remaining uniforms to go to the upcycle Mill in Tai Po Industrial Estate where the clothes will be turned back into usable threads.
Contributing to global goals
Each grade will be given an environmental issue in the form of an inquiry question based on 1 of the 17 UNESCO Sustainable Development Goals.Solutions/Innovations will be presented in the form of a 5–10 minute keynote presentation to a panel of Judges (HoS, Principal (Secondary), Principal (Elementary), A member of CTFEG, Student Council, Parent Representative. The presentations will be streamed to the classrooms for all students to watch. The presentations will be a cross between TED-X and Shark Tank.
