Past Perfect

Used to express an action that occurred in the past before another action occurred.

Regular verbs

Had and the ed-form

The verb ends in a consonant + y, removes -y and adds -ied. Example: cry - cried

The ending verb -e is added only -d
Example: live - lived

-ed is added to most verbs.
Example: jump - jumped

Verb in the consonant + vowel + consonant, doubled the last consonant and adds -ed . Example: chat - chatted
