Embedding multicultural education throughout the curriculum to promote engagement and cultural diversity.
The use of group work. Working with same-language partners.
Creating Multilingual displays and signs.
3) Building a Relationship with Parents/Guardians.
Put parents in contact with bilingual staff This creates a bridge of communication and helps create a sense of support and community.
Translate written communication that is sent home.
Keep parents informed. Use a bilingual translator to outline classroom expectations, standards, curriculum and to answer any questions they may have.
