Some birds are carnivores, while some are herbivores.Birds are heterotrophs, this means that they pick up their food from the nature.For example, carnivores eat insects and hervibores eat mostly seeds.

Birds are terrestial vertebrates and most of them can fly.

This means that they maintain their body temperature regardless of the enviromental temperature

Lungs are linked to Little sacks called air sacks these ensure the birds oxygen when it is flying.
Mandibles
Have no teeth and form a beak the shape of which varies depending on the type of fooda particular species of birds eat.
Feathers
Some are used for flying and others are used to preserve body heat.
Aerodynamic Body
Their body is shaped in a way that allows them to move through air.
Types of birds
Ratites birds
The group of ratites includes just a few generally large, flightless birds. Ratites have no keel or flight muscles and their wings are atrophied.
Carinate birds
The group of Carinate birds includes the majority of birds. Most of them can fly.
