How: Sam Hughes, Canada's Minister of the Militia refused to put Canadian troops into the British Army

Canada becoming an independent country 1867-1931

what: canada officially became an independent country in the 19s and then they were able to do there own thing with out the control of the british controlling there decisions this made canada detech from the british empire and cling to the united states and by doing this this made us very rich and less close with the united states.

when: Canada officially became a independent country in December 11 1931 but canada was trying to become an independent country ever since 1867 and was finally granted there wish in 1931.

where: There was no loaction of ware this agreemnt was finalized.

why: the reason that canada wanted to bake away from the british empire as because was because they wanted to join other countries so that they would have more power and trading partners and allies if there was ever a war

how: after the war of ypres ware canada fought fo rht ebritish empire in ww1 the british thought they should repay the canadains for there cations and let them gain the honur of independence.

Canada and the D-Day invasion 1944

who: The countries that were involved were Canada, British and America and there main goal was to take was take Normandy and after the take of Normandy the Canadians tried to push the nazis from the west while the soviets pushed from the east in 1944.

what: The Canadian's wanted to push the Nazis to the West and the Soviets pushed them to the East the reason this was done was so that the war in Europe would end.

How: soldiers from Canada, Britain and the United States wanted to invade Normandy and push the nazis out of that area so that the war would end in Russia. The Nazis had two posts at Normandy beach that they were protecting and they could not handle the invasion and they couldn't hold up the bases and after 10 months of holding up the post the Nazis gave up and the Canadians took over Normandy.

when: The war started in June 6th 1944 and it ended in April 30th 1945.

where: This war all started on the beaches of Normandy and eight days after that war Hitler commited suicide and the Nazi troops surrendered on April 30th 1945.

conclusion: So after that war Canada and Britain went on there separate lives and now that the war was over we didn't have to cover there back any more and we grew closer with the United States then any other country because they became our major trading partner.

The auto pact 1960

who:The United States became one of our biggest trading partners in 1904 the United States started providing car parts to Canada and after the WW2 ended they were still partners and the United States were still providing parts to Canada.

what:In 1964 the car selling industry went up 7% and and about a year later Canada and the United States signed the auto pact that meant that it meant one fifth of all of the United States exports were to Canada and three years later the car business went up to 60% of the cars being sold this employed 152,000 thousand workers.

when: Canada and the United States started being trading partners in 1904 and and are still partners today but the year that they actually made the auto packed was in 1965 this officially made them auto trading partners.

where:The specific location of this signing was not provided but the places that dealerships were selling these cars were all over the United States and Canada.

how: They got this business running threw loans that the bank gave the canadian dealer ship to make all these parts and give the United States a profit of this business.

who:prime minister brian mulroney of Canada and president ronald reagan of the United States, countries the United States and Canada.

what: Prime minister Brian Mulroney thought it would be a great idea to become close with the United States he thought this would benefit Canada in his plan was to become even closer with the United States and then soon after they would be their trading partner. his plan succeeded and ty united States became one of canada's biggest trading partners and by 2010 Canada was the United States biggest trading partner.

when:the election for the free trade was in 1988 for the finalization and canada is still one of the United States biggest trading partners.

where: This was all finalized in the United States and the United States trades with all of Canada.

how: This happened the United States and Canada already had the auto pact and they were already partners in some trade so this made it easy for Canada and the United States to trust each other.
