They were used in building structures. Made by drying mud in the sun

Lawn Mower
Invented by Edwin Budding in 1827
First used in cutting grass on sports fields. Then adopted for personal use in people’s lawns
Now people use lawn mowers to cut their grass across the nation.
These became very important in the 1900s when the first self propelled mower was introduced
Rubber Bands
Invented by Stephen Perry in 1845
Used by mail carriers to hold letters together. They are made by cutting small strips off a rubber tube.
Now they are used to keep many different things together.
Became important when people saw how useful these could be

Invented in 1948 by George de Mestral.
First used by NASA to help astronaut with their spacesuits.
Now it is used in all sorts of thing like to close pockets or attach things to surfaces.
It became very important because the ease of use and cheap cost.

Invented by Clarence Birdseye in 1929
First used to preserve foods that spoil easily like meats.
Freezing food is still used to preserve things, but many different kinds.
It revolutionized the way we lived because we could keep foods for much longer.

First used as the first smart phone.
To the present day, the iphone is used as a phone, internet platform, and app center.
It revolutionized the smart phone world.

YouTube was founded by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim in 2005.
First designed for video sharing.
It is still used for video sharing.
This changed the internet and is still widely used today.
