In the Classroom

Kahoots - After learning writing skills and techniques they can be reinforced through a Kahoot game that focusses on the lesson. This game can be used again as a review.

You Tube - While I am teaching content I can include a video that is related to the content and appeals to different learners.

Mindomo - Once students are ready to begin work they can organize their thoughts alone or in groups through this website. It can be a collaborative way to discover ideas.

Jamboard - This is a great tool to allow students to reflect on the content taught in class, to share their ideas with others, and benefit from the thoughts of others.

Google Forms - this is a great tool for teachers to assess learning to decide whether to move forward. Students can respond and reflect on the important parts of the lesson.

Substitution - Traditional paper assignments are now digital

Augmentation - Students can now collaborate easily. They have direct access to research information, extra help and support, helpful applications.

Modification - Students can use different application to demonstrate learning. A mindomo map can take the place of the traditional organizer, or a Flipgrid video can be used to answer questions and show learning.

Redefinition - Students extend their learning by making video while never leaving the basement. They can interview people from different parts of the world.

At Home

Google Classroom - Students can access content and assessment from home, and work at their own pace.

D2L - Students can access content and assessment from home, and work at their own pace.

Tools - Students can access YouTube and Google and other sites to research for assignments.

G-Suite Applications - Students have access to many applications such as Docs and Slides to help them complete assignments.
