Rocks are made of more than one mineral

They are formed from the deep layers of the earth layers. Once the magma bursts outside of the layers and comes to the surface. For instance, voulcanos, and the cooling of the magma or lava.

Lava is magma that reaches the earth’s surface

example: Igneous rocks

They are small rocks formed over long periods of erosion, and layering involves several steps (by the wind and water).

This results in small rock and particles squeezed or cemented together, and giving us a layered rock

Example: Sedimentary rocks

The pressure will push rock into the deep earth crust. And the heat from earth crust will cause the rocks to change shape, color, grain, and crystal sturctuer.

Example:Metamorphic rocks

are formed from the cooling of magma or lava

are formed from other rocks that are broken into small particles and moved by erosion (wind or water)

they are formed from other rocks
