War Of 1812
Soldiers Life
Endless routine of drills, marching and
boredom
Military discipline was harsh and the smallest
mistake was punishable by lash
The soldiers on guard during the summer
were given wollen tunics and shoes in the winter
were given greatcoats and shoes but no other protection
A soldier was more likely to die from sickness
