Aditri Experiment 1

The exploration of structural stability and material strength was conducted through various hands-on experiments. Eggs were tested for their ability to bear the weight of 34 books by placing them strategically in bottle caps to distribute the load evenly.

egg experiment

eggs should be placed in correct position to hold the books
eggs break if pressed hard
how can eggs be stable
the eggs needed a big table that is stable
placed eggs in bottle caps to protect the eggs
it weighed 34 books

standing on rolls of toilet paper

tried to check if same toilet rolls will hold the different weights or not
one by one student stood on the toilet rolls
took weight for 2 different people
toilet rolls were placed under a book

Marshmellow experiment

if the base is not correct structure will not stay
the structure stays still and does not move sideways
on the base structure stands
marshmellow challenge is about structures
also used pasta, tape, strings to build the structure
used marshmellows to build structures

paper bridges

tried different strategies to see if it could hold more cubes
on the paper bridge i put some cubes to see if it could hold the weight or not
some paper bridges are not strong enough to hold the cubes

"Look at the Building" book

the book has information about materials used to build structures
from the book i understood how structures are built
The book talked about foundation, structures, buildings
book was about structures
