Marketable Me Employability Skills

Fast-learner

I can learn many things at once, OR learn new things in a SHORT PERIOD of time

For example in my workplace there is a type of machine called the espresso machine. At first I had NO IDEA on how you would have used it, but in a few hours or latest in a day I learned all the different combination you could do.

I can interpret directions quickly and process them quickly as well

I show or characterize by an ability to think or respond quickly or effectively.

I am quick to understand, learn, and devise or apply ideas

Initiative

If I had the opportunity to act or take charge before others do, I would

For example, for sports teams I would volunteer at times to lead some exercises

I have the ability to assess and initiate things independently

For example, worksheets of paper

Responsibility

I have the ability to act independently and make decisions without authorization. BUT wise decisions.

Whatever I do, I'm always responsible to it, and if something happens, I will take the blame no matter what and not put it on other people.

For example, at home when I broke a wine-glass, I told my parents immediately not waiting from them to find out their selves because I knew the sooner I said it the more responsible I would be; because I knew if my parents found this glass broken themselves without getting informed beforehand they would: 1. Get hurt without seeing it 2. Get angry for not telling them what had happened

Organization

If I use a tool or an object, I would put it exactly where I got it from because if I keep taking objects and not put it back from where it belongs, the place/room would get messy!

For example at school, if i used a ruler and just left it on the table after class, the teacher would have to put it away though I used it from my purpose.

If I start a new project/subject I would finish it till the end and not just leave it halfway done. So i;m finishing my work one by one

I'm very organized once it comes to schoolwork and job-work

Team-work

I love to do teamwork with other people because I get to meet new and different people and do new interacting activities.

Especially at work, I never fool around with my co-workers when we're doing something together

If I need to partner up with someone and is given a task, I would not fool around but focus on what I would need to finish on. But, if there is some time available after we're done everything, then yes maybe we can have a little chat

Time Management

I am fast-paced on whatever I get, but I put my effort into it and finish it.

During work or at school I never spend too much time on one subject/thing.

For example, when I get a lot of homework, i divide everything up and estimate how much time I would need for each subject or work.

Respectful

I especially respect my elders because they're the ones that help me through my life or teach/give me important advice

For example, very obvious ones are; I listen to the teacher when he or she is talking

I respect everyone and anyone surrounded me

I never a "judge a book by it's cover"

When other people give their opinions or ideas out, I respect them no matter what it is.

Leadership

There are at times at school when I have taken leadership and led groups of people. For example, in gym class when we're doing different types of exercises, the teacher asks me to lead the group to follow me.

Another example is, when I was in the soccer team I was also asked to lead the exercises and some practices.

If there are times when orders get hectic or there's a long line up of people waiting to get their orders, I WILL take leadership (not in a rude bossy way towards my co-workers) and makes sure EVERYONE gets their proper orders.

Communications Skills

Can connect to new people easily

For example, this September was my first year in David Suzuki and it's already the second week and I have made a ton of friends.

In another words, I love to INTERACT with anyone in another words, I love to interact with ANYONE

Very sociable

If you come up to me, or if I come up to you I will immediately start a conversation and make the surrounding space friendly or in a positive vibe

Strong in communications

Which makes me sociable, i love to talk to people
