My Take-away
I realised that there are different ways to handle responsibilities that you may have in your community. Cassie handled her situation by letting her actions speak for herself. She didn't speak much but by hitting the game winning home-run she earned her teammates respect. She also showed people that girls can play in a field dominated and this could apply for all walks of life. On the opposite side of the spectrum Starr faced adversity head-on and stood up for Khalil by using her voice and making sure she was heard by everyone.

In the movie Dr. Strange obtains the time stone allowing him to rewind time and uses it to his advantage against the villain and he saves the world that way. Very similar to my story where he fails but then gets to relive the same moments and make things right.

He couldn't have been successful without the trust his coach bestowed upon him. Even when he was injured the coach allowed him to play the final 30 seconds which led to him making the game winner.

Connection
This line reminds me of the constant reassurance Uncle Carlos gave her when she had to visits the police station to give a statement of the night of Khalil's death. Uncle Carlos wanted her to focus on nobody else but herself, him and giving good information to the police.
This incident made me think of the song "Portraits" by GRIP. One line in particular sticks out to me:
"We all fight the same war, it's no them, it's you and me"
