Predicating and linking verbs
Linking verbs are the ones that connect the subject
to the description.
Herrera is teaching french.
Predicating verbs are the ones that describe what
is said of the subject
Herrera looks handsome.
Finite and non-finite verbs
Non-finite verbs are the ones that don't show a distinction
in person, number or tense.
They're divided into 4 categories
Infinitives: To bake, to sing
I want to bake something
Past participles: Baked, sung
They have sung for over an hour
Present participles: Baking, singing
She is singing a song
Gerunds: Baking, singing
She likes singing songs
Finite verbs are the ones that can make a statement
about a subject.
They´re also the ones that can express person and number.

Verbs are the heart of communication. They express tense, mood, person and number. Also, you cannot make an understendable sentence without a verb.
Example:
Marianna, come over right now.
Here, the mood is imperative, third person singular and present tense.
Without the verb the sentence wouldn't make sense.
